Abstract

The bum treatment is difficult and long in time. Bum is life threatening thus bums should be treated in an integrated manner from several disciplines, in a place that has a maintenance facility and equipment that can provide better service. Treatment of burns and Tulle SSD proved effective for healing bums, but the treatment of bums SSD tulle combination has never been studied. This of study was observasional, research case with a case study control design, the population in this study was second degree bums patients in the bum unit and Surgical G room. Sampling technique is consecutive sampling, data were analyzed using one way Anova and Kruskal Wallis statistical test. The results of this studies showed the healing process of second degree bums on the inflammatory phase in the treatment group was better than the control group. the proliferation phase of the inflammatory phase in the treatment group was better than the control group. Time duration of epithelialization on second degree bums treated with SSD combination of tulle at the time of the opening day of the wound dressing is shorter than using just any SSD. It can be included treat bum wound treatment with SSD and Tulle is more effective that just with SSD. This is because of antibiotic properties of SSD and Tulle as well as moist condition maintained treatmen by tulle that prevent discomfort to the patient.
