Skripsi thesis, UNIVERSITAS AIRLANGGA.
Abstract
Factors that corelate Malaria are host (age, gender, race, nutritional state and
immunity), agent (Plasmodium) and environment (flooding water, wall, stall, dragnet
at ventilation, mosquito net, habit to go out in the evening, using of mosquito essence
and occupation). This study was aimed to analyze dominant factor that affected
Malaria.
Design of this study was correlation study. Independent variable is host, agent
and environment. Dependent variable is incident of Malaria. Samples were 98 persons
living in Konte Village, taken by simple random sampling. The data collected using
questionnaire, observation sheet, gage and weights, then analyzed using spearman rho,
with significant level p:::: 0,05.
The results showed that there were correlation between incident of Malaria and
age (p=O,Ol), flooding water (p=0,01), wall (P=O,Ol) and dragnet at ventilation
(p=0,01). There were no correlation between incident of malaria and gender,
nutritional state, stall, mosquito net, habit to go out in the evening, using of mosquito
essence and occupation.
It can be concluded that the dominant factor of incident of Malaria is flooding
water because floocling water can be a larva pabitat for mosquito causing mal~ria.
Furthyr research should studY about the other factors that affect irciqent of Malaria.
