Abstract

Independent was a potency for self care to help old individu to fill activity of daily living, promote healt care and his awareness. Nursing self care was make by attentive depend level or need anda klien ability. The objective of this study was to explore is there any difference independent level between old individual at home and at elderly home care. Research method was diskriptive comparative study, independent variable was factor that influence independent and dependent variable was elder' s independent level. Subject of this study was 30 respondents; 15 person was at home in Keiurahan Wonorejo and 15 person was at elderly home care Hargo Dedali Surabaya · with simple random sampling. Data collected by quesioner. Statistic approach for this study was Independent t Test In p = 0,05. Result of this study wast value (to) was 6,254, value t tabel (tt) 2,05. With comparation value to and tt was known to > tt was 6,254 > 2,05. Result of this study was there difference self ability level between elder at home in Kelurahan Wonorejo and at elderly home care Hargo Dedali Surabaya. From the result advised that the nursing to increase independen level to the elderly in home and in elderly home care
