Abstract
Dialyser is used as renal replacement therapy that had designed similar as kidney in our body. Dialiyser maded from hollow semipermiable fibre. One of dialyser fungction is to eliminate residu and fluid from metabolism body. The objective of this study was to know which one is the most effective dialyser in decreasing uremic toxcin. Observation due to knowing the effective dialyser by faal renal examination (blood ureum nitrogen and creatinin serum) pre and post dialysis. This study use Observasional design. Population had taken from patient with renal failure undergoing haemodialysis at Abdul Wahab Syahranie Samarinda Hospital, from December 23th 2009 to January 06 th 2010. Sample was comprised 12 individuals who met the inclusion criteria, using non probability sampling with purposive sampling type. They were divided into 2 groups, intervention with dialyser Re use and Single use groups, each groups comprising 6 individuals. Data were collected by using laboratory observation and they were analyzed by using paired t test with significance level p :::; 0,05. Research result showed that the use of dialser Single use effective in decreasing BUN which had significance level of p = 0,000 and Creatinin serum p= 0,000, while that in the dialyser Re use also effective with had significance level of p= 0,004 for BUN and p = 0,000 for creatinin serum. Statistic with Independent T Test Sample showed that there were diferentiation from dialyser Single use and re use in decreasing BUN (p= 0,018), and also to creatinin serum with significance level p = 0,011. Based on that results, it can be concluded that using dialyser Single use and Re use give same effectivity pattern alteration in chronic renal failure patient undergoing haemodialysis. Further study should measure the effectifity of dialyser on other aspect such as nutrition, electrolit in body, and body weight.
