Abstract

Dia!:,TJlOses of HIV AIDS could affect psychologist's health status for people with high risk ofHTV AIDS. TOO purpos0 ofth0 study was ind0ntifioo th0 0ffact ofVCT on anxi0ty level of the client with high risk HIV AIDS. This study used two-group pre test-post test design (Quasy experimental). The population that used was high-risk patient of HIV AIDS who visited Intermediate Care Room of Infectious Disease of RS. Soetomo Surabaya. The sample selection used purposive sampling with 30 samples that fulfill inclusion criteria and exclusion of variable that was obs.erved namely anxiety level, anxiety caus.e. factor (knowledge & s.ocial res.pons.e level). Data were collected used questionnaire, in the anxiety level used Self Anxieting Scale (SAS). Data analysis used Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, mann Whitney U test and Spearmans Rho. Research result indicated there is not any significant correlation between social response factor and knowledge level with anxiety level, with significance value P=0,276, P=0,591. While VCT is very influential in the change of anxiety level of high-risk client of HIV AIDS from the high level of anxiety to middle level of anxiety with significance value P=0,001. It can be concluded that VCT (pm-test) was efective to reduced an..xiety level fol' people with high risk of HIV AIDS. From this research's result it was suggest for the client with high risk HIV AIDS that very important to followed VCT and socialized it in society.
