Abstract

Introduction: Sectio Caesarea is a form of planned medical intervention that can last a long time and requires respiratory control so that it is very risky to life safety. Sectio Caesarea delivery is done to save the mother and fetus due to various complication conditions in pregnancy. Delivery of Sectio Caesarea can trigger anxiety. Anxiety that is left has an impact on increasing sympathetic nerve work with increased blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing. The purpose of this case study is to provide an overview of the implementation of 5-finger relaxation on the anxiety level of pre Sectio Caesarea patients. Methods: Single case study in Mrs. V with medical indications of preeclampsia, gestational diabetes mellitus and grade II obesity pre sectio caesarea elective who experienced anxiety with nursing intervention in the form of relaxation of 5 fingers with a duration of 10-15 minutes for 3 days of treatment. Result and discussion: After being given 5-finger relaxation intervention for 3 days of treatment, Mrs. V who experienced pre sectio caesarea has anxiety decreased from scale of 25 (moderate anxiety) to 19 (mild anxiety). Conclusion: The implementation of 5 fingers relaxation is effective in reducing the anxiety level of pre-sectio caesarea (SDKI D.0080; Psychological Category; Ego Integrity Subcategory) in pre sectio caesarea patient
