Abstract

The aim of this study was to detect the presence of Pandemic Influenza Virus NH! 2009 antibody in pig sera at Pegirian Surabaya Slaughterhouse. This study represent of observational study. Sample used in this obst:rvational study were 120 sera of pig at Pegi1ian Surabaya Slaughterhouse. 120 samples were taken from Pegirian Surabaya Slaughterhouse from Juli 2010 until Desember 2010. The method used in this study was : Hemaglutination Inhibition (HI) test using antigen HIN 1- 2009. Before tested with HI test, the serum was treated with ROE and 0, 75% of guinea pig RBC. An antibody titer of 2': I :20 dilution was considered positive. The result study showed that from 120 serum samples tested with HI test, all samples was negative from the infection of Pandemic Influenza Virus A/HI 2009. Therefore, it is suggested to do further research dealing with the sample from pig fanns and using more specific testing method.
