Abstract

Integrated Management of Childhood l!ness (!MCl) is a management with integrated approach in ill under five years management who visited Health Care unit concerned early detection, disease classification, promoting and curative measure, counseling and evaluation. Nursing staff behavior (knowledge, attitude, implementation measure of [MCI on Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is influenced by several factors including predisposing factor - motivation, and reinforcing factor - leader support, enabling factor - tool and instrument, agency policy. Problem of nursing staff: knowledge, attitude, implementation of [MCI on ISP A have not been explained. Design used in this research was cross sectional method that examine about relationship between independent variables including nursing staff behavior: predisposing, reinforcing, and enabling factors while the dependent variable was nursing staff behavior: knowledge, attitude, !MCI implementation measure on ARI. Data was collected using questionnaire and the research subject was all nursing staff in Community Health Center Kota Kupang who perform !MCI and according to inclusion criteria. Then, observation was perfonned twice. The obtained data then were prepared by data tabulation and analyzed using Chi Square statistical test using Seftw&r~ Preduc! Dnd --Servrcesotutiott-fSPS}-t6:6-tbr-windolNs with reliability level ~~. Identify reliability relationship level between variables Contingency Coefficient was used. Based on the result nursing staff attitude in implementing !MCI on ARI was mostly good in knowledge aspect. Predisposing factor: motivation in implementing !MCI on ARI in Community Health Center Kota Kupang were mostly good or 65,2%. Reinforcing factor: leader support in implementing !MCI on ARI in Community Health Center Kota Kupang were mostly good (69,6%). Enabling factor: tool and instrument in implementing !MCI on ARI in Community Health Center Kota Kupang were mostly good (82.6%). Agency policies in implementing !MCI on ARI in Community Health Center Kota Kupang were mostly good (69.6%). There is relationship between behaviors: predisposing factor, reinforcing factor, enabling factor and nursing staff behavior: knowledge, attitude, !MCI implementation measure on ARI. The regional government in one year further should provide improved tool and instrument especially in Mother Advice Card (MAC) procurement, improved agency policy; to set !MCI activity plan and to set !MCI on ARI activity procedure standard, and to improve leader support on !MCI ARI activity. for nursing staff work motivation need to be improved related with !MCI implementation in other cases such as Malaria, diarhea, fever and measles.
