Abstract
Qualified nursing care depends on as well-balanced as between amount of employer and nurse 's work load in a hospital. In making planning of employment must be really reckoned so that not generate impact at high work load which can to result go down the quality of nursing care treatment. This research used cross sectional design. Its population was nurse in medical surgical installation RSUD Dr. Soebandi, Jember. Chosen sample was 43 people which were selected by total sampling. Data were analyzed by using Correlation Spearman Rho technique. Result of this research showed that there were existence of significance relation between work load and nurse's performance (p= 0.00) and (r= 0.994). To increase quality of service in managing patient is expected according to standard of nursing care practice which has been specified
