Abstract

The intensification of agriculture development directed to rural areas in 1970-s caused a social change with the basics. That agriculture technology incited the farmers to be more integrated not only into national socio-economics system but international as well. Almost at the same time, when the farmers were getting agriculture technology, the introduction and the dissemination of dairy cattle farming technology began to go into their life. Research method was triangulation, that is, using both quantitative and qualitative approach. In quantitative approach there were 30 dairy cattle farmers to choose as reseacr sample, and in quantitative approach 9 people were considered as the key informers. The result of field research found that: i). Dairy cattle farming could be accepted and used by the farmers from the various type of farmland-scale and social stratification. Meanwhile, the total number of cows correleted to agriculture farm so that it changed social distribution mechanism and their economics, iil. The absolut surplus from dairy farming function to provide saving and facilities in order to get additional income in process of capital accumulation, iii).Socio-economical status had influence on the life-style, priviledge and also served as means to obtain power in village bureucracy, iv). The individual intrests were concealed as an institution strategy to carry out adaptive mechanism and villager integration, v). The concequence of social transformation as the effect of the dissemination of dairy cattle farming technology influenced social structure of the society which tend to change the village traditional institution into associate organization.
