Abstract

Destruction of myofiber structure often repair with scar and fibrous formation result decrease muscle contraction and function. Recent study shown good deal in application of autologus Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cell (BM-MSC) on regeneratif diseases and tissue engineering. BM-MSC have low immunogenicity that allow allogenic application without rejection. BM-MSC have capabilities to differentiate into osteocyte, chondrocyte, adipocyte, tenocyte and myocyte. Eighteen male white New-Zealand rabbit devided into two equal groups P and K with Randomized Post Test Only Control Group Design. Nine rabbit in P group iajected with 2xl06 allogenic BM-MSC after artificial injury on gluteus externus muscle and other as control. Macroscopic evaluation from day I until the day that wound completely healed. Histopathological examination with HE staining to count number of inflamatory cell, angiogenesis and myoblast. Statistical analized with Hotelling's trace, result significant different (p>0,05) between allogenic BM-MSC treatment and control. Allogenic BM-MSC treatment decrease number inflamatory cell, angiogenesis and increase number of myoblast then healing time better than control. It can be concluded that application of allogenic BM-MSC effective to skeletal muscle healing after injury.
