Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes foot exercises are a preventive therapy for diabetic foot complications. Effective health education is with audiovisual media and group support methods. The benefits of foot exercises can be seen from the status of blood circulation by measuring the Ankle Brachial Pressure Index (ABPI) and the neurological status of the sensation foot value. Methods: Stage I study with expert consultation and stage 2 with quasy experimental design. The research group was divided into 3 groups. Test Analysis of this study with paired sample ttest, independent sample t-test and Manova two way. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of foot exercise with audiovisual and group support for the ABPI and foot sensation. The results of this study phase I with expert consultation produced audiovisual media foot exercises, nurse and patient modules, while stage 2 of the 3 study groups had different and significant results (p <0.05), the results of the study proved the highest mean ABPI and foot sensation in the treatment group 2. Treatment group 2 with ABPI 1.08 and foot sensation 7 .36. Conclusion: Treatment group 2 by providing audiovisual foot exercise intervention and group support was most effective in influencing the value of ABPI and foot sensation in diabetics.
