Abstract

In order to make an English Children Story Book, methods of making a storybook need to be implemented. In making a book, in this case, a storybook, the writer needs to consider the main goal in making a book. The target readers, or to be specific the young readers, have to be approached with content suitable for their age. In his book, the writer also implies several figures of speech such as metaphor, hyperbole, irony, simile, oxymoron, pun, idioms, and personification. Those aspects were used to introduce the target reader to figurative language in English. Also, steps were applied, including getting ideas, choosing idea, researching, outlining, drafting, revising, and editing. All those components were composed to complete the book wanted by the writer.
