Abstract

A learning module is a particular unit of discussion arranged systematically and directed to be used by learners, accompanied by guidelines for their use by teachers operationally. In creating a learning module, several design learning module processes should be following learners’ needs, aims, learning outcomes, resources, learning and teaching strategies, assessment criteria, and evaluation. Despite the design process, the learning module should contain vocabulary that is essential for the learners to improve their English skills, especially in speaking. Three types of vocabulary could help learners to optimize their learning in business communication. There are specialized, semi-specialized, and general vocabulary, which vocabulary will be beneficial in teaching business communication because business communication commonly requires vocabulary varieties. As a result, the writer created a learning module entitled Beginner’s Guide to Business Communication which consists of three vocabulary types and follows the correct designing process module.
