Abstract
In this final report, the writer translated the caption of photojournalism to identify the strategy of translation and terminology used. In this report, the explanation of the strategy of translation and the terminology are included examples. This report analyzed photojournalism using Suryawinata and Hariyanto theory. The strategy of translation is categorized into three different types, structural strategy and semantic strategy. In this report, the translation strategy and identify terminologies used in translated captions of photojournalism. In this report, the strategies used as the analysis result were addition, transposition, borrowing, cultural equivalent, component analysis, synonym, formal translation, and reduction
