Abstract
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new type of disease. The increase in the number of cases of COVID-19 took place quite quickly and there had been spread between countries, so WHO declared the virus a pandemic. The most common symptoms are fever, dry cough, and feeling tired. The Indonesian government has made efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in various ways. Among them are the implementation of health protocols and vaccine development. The Indonesian government recommends the use of medicinal plants to support efforts to prevent and control COVID-19. This descriptive study uses qualitative data analysis with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. examined the use of medicinal plants during the COVID-19 pandemic in Blimbing District, Malang City. Based on the results of the study followed by 31 respondents, there are 23 types of medicinal plants belonging to 15 families that are often used during the COVID-19 pandemic by the people of Blimbing District, Malang City, from 15 types of medicinal plant families. used by the community for the prevention of COVID-19, the Zingiberaceae family is the most widely used family with 7 species. The most widely used cold medicinal plant is Zingiber officinale Rosc. The most widely used medicinal plant for fever and dizziness is Zingiber officinale Rosc. and Curcuma longa Linn. The most widely used diarrhea medicinal plant is Psidium guajava. The most widely used cough medicine plant is Cymbopogon citratus. The most widely used medicinal plant to maintain health is Curcuma longa Linn.
