Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of CSR dimensions on Seasonal Equity Offerings’ (SEO’s) stock performance, both in the short-term and in the long-term in Indonesia. This study divides CSR into 7 dimensions, that are Environment, Energy, Safety and Health, Employees, Products, Community, and General dimension. The sampling method used was purposive sampling and the analysis method used was multiple linier regression. The samples of this study were 97 non-financial companies listed on IDX, with an observation period of 2010 – 2017. The dependent variables in this study were Initial Return (IR), to measure short-term performance and Buy and Hold Abnormal Return (BHAR), to measure long-term performance of SEO’s stock. The control variables in this study are ROA and Firm Size. The results show that Energy and Employees dimension have positive effect on short-term and long-term performance. The Environment, Health and Safety, Products, and Community dimension have different effects in short-term and long-term performance. The general dimension has a negative effect both in short-term and long-term performance.
