Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of PGF2a hormone intra mucosa vulva with combination of PMSG and hCG intramuscular on estrous and pregnancy of kacang goats. The study used a completely random design (CRD). The study consisted of 18 kacang goats were randomize into three treatment groups. Treatment that given were P0 with PGF2a intra mucosa vulva, P1 and P2 given PGF2a intra mucosa vulva and combination of PMSG and hCG intramuscular each with 300 IU (200 IU PMSG + 100 IU hCG) for P1 and 600 IU (400 IU PMSG + 200 IU hCG) for P2. The result obtained on the average number of onset of estrous was 23.9167 ± 2.18a on P0, 22.2167 ± 1.44a on P1 and 21.8833 ± 1.58a on P2. Result of pregnancy known that all kacang goats were pregnant on each sampel of every treatment. There was no significant differences regarding on estrous and pregnancy of kacang goats in all treatment. Based on the result conluded that there was no effect on estrous and pregnancy on kacang goats that was given by PGF2a with combination of PMSG and hCG. It is suggest that usage of PGF2a is effective to increase estrous and pregnancy respond of kacang goats.
