Abstract

Onomatopoeia (onomatopoeia) is the naming of objects or actions with imitation sounds associated with the objects or actions; eg crows, buzzing, roaring, roar, great-grandchildren, etc. (Kridalaksana, 2008: 167). In this study, researchers used giseigo onomatopoeic Japanese-Giongo is in the novel Madogiwa no Totto-chan were then compared with the Java language. In this novel, there is a 18-Giongo onomatopoeic Japanese giseigo corresponding to the Java language. By using component analysis of meaning and contrastive analysis, will produce fields of meaning, namely: 1) onomatopoeic Japanese have the same meaning with onomatopoeic Java language, 2) onomatopoeic Japanese have a broader meaning than onomatopoeic Java language, 3) onomatopoeic Japanese have the equation and differences with onomatopoeic language Java.
