Abstract
Pendidikan umum dan pengalaman penugasan adalah hal yang ctiyakini dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan seorang perwira TNI AL dalam memahami cara berpikir orang lai11 (social perspective taking) dan membekali dalam membuat keputusan yang adil dan berdasarkan pada penghargaan terhadap kemanusiaan. Demikian pula motivasi berprestasi akan mendorong seseorang bersikap jujur dalam pencapaian keberhasilan yang penuh risiko sebagaimana dia memandang dirinya sendiri sebagai entitas yang bennakna. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 398 perwira TNI AL berpangkat mayor, yang pengambilan sampelnya menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalal1 Defining i ssues Test (DJT), Social Perspective Taking (SPT) dari Diazgranados dkk, TSCS, serta instrumen yang ctikembangkan Paunescu tentang motivasi berprestasi dan kecenderungan mengambil risiko. Semua alat tes telah melalui proses adaptasi sesuai tahapan Beaton (2000). Penelitian ini menguji kecocokan model dengan menggt.makan analisis statistik SEM. Temuan bam dari penelitian ini adalah model penalaran moral perwira TN1 AL dibentuk oleh pendidikan wnum dan SPT, dibentuk oleh pengalaman penugasan dan kecendenmgan mengarnbil tisiko yang dimediasi motivasi berprestasi, serta konsep diri yang memiliki pengaruh negatifterhadap motivasi berprestasi (p = 0,000; C.R. = - 3,772). Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh pendidikan umum terhadap motivasi berprestasi, dan tidak ada pengamh pengalaman penugasan terbadap SPT maupun penalaran moral, serta tidak ada pengaruh konsep diri terbadap penalaran moral. Hasil ini menunjukkan penelitian dengan setting militer yang unik, memberikan hasil yang berbeda.
