Abstract

Reposisi adalah semangat Strukturalis yang digunakan sebagai pembedah teks Serat Centhini. Semangat ini berusaha untuk melihat di balik permukaan permasalahan yang sebenarnya mempunyai kesederajatan gagasan. Kesederajatan gagasan ini terbukti dalam pembedahan teks Serat Cenhini dengan metode Strukturalis yang menemukan bahwa baik Monarkhi Jawa maupun Republik Modern mempunyai keseragaman ide dalam mengatasi krisis dalam realitas. Dimana dilema untuk mengatasi krisis sama-sama diabaikan oleh Monarkhi Jawa maupun Republik Modern, keduanya justru terjerat arus pengetahuan lain yang menginfeksi kebudayaan internalnya. Kegagalan dalam mengatasi kontradiksi – kontradiksi atas pergulatan politik internal Jawa pada masa Mataram – Giri dengan menggunakan jalan keluar yang mengabaikan krisis sebenarnya dalam realitas terekam kuat pada Serat Centhini. Situasi ini diperkuat dengan ongkos sosial pelakatan timpang budaya Jawa yang dilakukan oleh Giri Islam mendapat persetujuan dari Mataram Jawa. Akhirnya, dilema yang sama atas politik pemerintahan Monarkhi Jawa maupun Republik Modern berujung pada beban sejarah yang diterima secara muka dua. Di satu sisi meninggalkan sejarah dengan membiarkan tetap pada regulasi pengetahuan yang menginfeksi struktur pengetahuan internal sekaligus mengakui kontradiksi itu pada teks yang menjadi komunakasi simbolik sebagai basis pengetahuan Jawa.
