Abstract
Temporary waqf is legally recognized in Law 41/2004, one of the objects that can be temporarily waqf is land rights. Land rights that can be temporarily waqf are building rights or use rights on state land, management rights land, or property rights. the term of this temporary land waqf may not exceed the term of the right to use the building or the right to use it. After the end of the waqf period, the land is returned to the state, or the holder of the land with management rights, or the holder of the right of ownership. Ideally, this temporary waqf land is managed for productive waqf, following the nature of the rights to the land being waqf. Productive waqf is intended to generate profits, and from these profits are channeled according to the purpose of waqf. To generate profits, professional management is needed so that the implementation of waqf can be realized. The key to the management of productive waqf is in nazhir, but in the Indonesian laws and regulations it has not been formulated about professional nazhir standards. The Indonesian Waqf Board as a body that specifically handles waqf has formulated nazhir professional standards in the form of the Waqf Core Principle (WCP) however, WCP is only a guideline so that it is not binding on the parties. This means that there is no obligation to carry it out and there are no sanctions if it does not carry out it.
