Abstract

"Tuberculosis is a disease that can be transmitted and is a major cause of poor health so is one of the main causes of death from infectious diseases worldwide. The number of tuberculosis cases in Indonesia was found to be around 351,936 cases in 2020. The country of Indonesia was ranked second (2nd) with the highest number of cases of tuberculosis sufferers in the world after India. This study aims to analyze the risk factors for individual characteristics and physical conditions of the home with cases of pulmonary tuberculosis in Indonesia. The type of research used is a meta-analysis using a sample of 31 relevant journal articles. The data collection method used in this study is to search for articles related to the purpose of this research topic on the database used, namely Google Scholar according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data that has been collected will be tabulated and made into a table using Microsoft Excel and the data will be analyzed using the JASP 2 application version 0.16.2. The results showed that 60% economic status, 85.7% contact history, 72.7% smoking habits, 57.1% house occupancy density, 58.3% house ventilation, 70% house lighting, 25% types of house floors, and 100 % of house humidity have a relationship with cases of pulmonary tuberculosis in Indonesia. The results of the meta-analysis of the highest risk factors for residential density had a risk of 2,117 times greater, while the lowest, namely ventilation, had a risk of 1,150 times greater. It is hoped that the role of health promotion can create promotional media and counseling regarding the control of risk factors for pulmonary tuberculosis which is focused on preventing and reducing the transmission and incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis."
