Abstract

In the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination, one thing that needs to be considered is vaccination coverage, because herd immunity can be achieved if the COVID-19 vaccination coverage is evenly distributed and high in various regions. There is a high level of fear regarding COVID-19 vaccine, knowledge and attitude about COVID-19 vaccine that cause people to reject or accept it is important.Therefore, a study was conducted to determine the influence of public knowledge and attitude to the acceptance of COVID-19 vaccine in Lumajang Regency with the COVID-19 vaccination target not being achieved. This research is included in analytic research with cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used is non-random sampling in the form of accidental sampling and snow ball sampling. Data was collected by face to face and online. From the results of data collection, 350 samples were obtained, which were people domiciled in Lumajang Regency, and people over 18 years of age. From the results of statistical data analysis using the SPSS, it was found that the public knowledge and attitude did not influence the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine in Lumajang Regency as indicated by a significance value of 0.146 (> 0.05). It means that the results of the study are not in accordance with several studies which state that knowledge and attitudes influence the acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccine. Several factors that can cause differences in research results include regulations, sampling methods, and other factors.
