Abstract

In reality, the views of researcher in FISIP UNAIR, many mothers who have children and office civil servants ranging in age from toddlers to adults. Public sector employment is clearly the mother has a dual role in the task, the weight of responsibility that takes much time, effort and thought. Where the husband certainly also affect how mothers to deal with the dual role of compatibility based on role theory. The method used in this research is descriptive. This study uses a nonrandom technique so not all the mothers in FISIP UNAIR have the same opportunity to be chosen from all women civil servants (PNS) workers in FISIP UNAIR. Then the researchers asked for information from the 5 (five) of informants and 2 (two) supporting informants to verify whether the data taken from five informants and informants supporting two compatible or not compatible with the theory of Role Theory. Informant I is an administrative staff at A Study Program, informant II is an administrative staff at B Study Program, informant III is an administrative staff at B Study Program, informant IV is a staff at C unit and informant V is a lecturer in the A Department at FISIP Airlangga University. The majority of strategies that women civil servants in the environment FISIP Airlangga University in helping to resolve the dilemma of domestic and public work is to use the services of help from others. The ability of informants to support the dual role working in the public sector as civil servants and domestic commitment to husband's election in the division of domestic duties to take care of children and other domestic tasks.
