Abstract

Information technology brings important and fundamental changes to the library to manage, deliver new services, establish relationships with various libraries or databases outside the library. With the electronic information sources, the Internet we can more easily get the information in digital form. The more abundant source of information available will create a competition in order to provide the best information. Knowing the purpose of the research is the source of information on the use of electronic information among students, to meet the needs of the study and informed about what barriers dialamai students in using electronic information resources. Variable in this study is the use of Electronic Resources and constraints. The population here is Airlangga University students who use electronic information resources for the needs of the study. Sampling technique in this study using purposive sampling method. Data analysis techniques using distribution frequency. The results of the study conducted by researchers on the use of Electronic Information Sources The majority of respondents are using URL facility, utilizing the Google and Yahoo search engines, meemanfaatkan E-journals, utilizing the access point based on the title and keywords in the search for sources of information and mendowlowd and print. While the barriers experienced is literature for tasks that require use of books, suasan heart was gloomy, high school education, the knowledge gap between the communicant and communicator, an error in the use of keywords in the search, time constraints, location of electronic information retrieval that does not support and difficulties in language foreigners.
