Abstract

Studi ini mencoba melakukan eksplorasi deskripsi peran legislatif perempuan dan segala hambatannya dalam melakukan advokasi dan peran lain di legislatif. Selain itu, studi ini juga menggambarkan betapa kompleksnya interaksi sektor domestik dan publik bagi perempuan serta berbagai kemampuan perempuan dalam melakukan advokasi kepentingan di daerah pemilihan II (Pasuruan-Probolinggo) Dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakuakan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa daya serap perempuan legislatif dalam melakukan advokasi kepentingan di daerahnya terfokus dan cemerlang. Namun hambatan struktural-formal, kultural, dan personal ditambah dengan kompleksnya budaya patriarki dan stereotype publik mengakibatkan keterwakilan perempuan dalam lembaga politik mengalami berbagai stagnasi. Studi ini menyumbangkan eksplorasi faktual terhadap berbagai fenomena bias gender dalam perjalanan demokrasi di Indonesia. Melihat lebih dalam representasi perempuan dalam politik melalui lembaga Legislatif sebagai prototype strategis bagi menakar peran perempuan dalam politik sekaligus problematika yang membersamainya. Studi kualitatif ini memberikan analisis yang mendalam terhadap advokasi kepentingan daerah pemilihan yang diwakili oleh legislatif perempuan dengan menampilkan nilai representasi formalistik sampai dengan representasi substantif. Advokasi kepentingan yang dilakukan oleh legislatif perempuan banyak aspek yang terlampaui. Namun lagi-lagi perempuan legislatif harus memberikan usaha yang lebih keras, untuk memastikan keterwakilan gender dalam politik mencapai situasi yang relevan dengan kebutuhan publik. Melalui upaya kaderisasi perempuan di legislatif dan upaya konstitusional untuk menciptakan keberhadiran perempuan secara substantif. Kebijakan legislatif perempuan mengacu pada gerakan “pro-poor maka representasi substantif ini mulai menjadi awal dari kepercayaan publik terhadap legislatif perempuan.
