Abstract
Penelitian ini mengenai kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa pada koleksi deposit di badan provinsi jawa timur. Pengunjung terbanyak di koleksi deposit adalah mahasiswa. Mahasiswa yang berada di sekitar area perpustakaan daerah sangat membutuhkan informasi yang mendukung perannya selama menjalankan masa kuliahnya, mahasiswa juga membutuhkan pengetahuan dan informasi yang terbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Wilson. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif deskriptif. Lokasi yang diambil oleh penelitian di badan perpustakaan dan kearsipan provinsi jawatimur yang berada di Surabaya. Populasi yang diambil yaitu mahasiswa yang menggunakan koleksi deposit dan mengukur sampel sebanyak 30. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh mahasiswa setuju menggunakan koleksi deposit untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mereka. Translation: This research on the information needs of students in the collection of deposits in the body of the library and archives East Java province. The most visitors in the collection of deposits is a student. Students who are in the surrounding area of the library area need information that supports its role during the run-time college, students also need knowledge and the latest information. This study uses the theory of Wilson. This research uses descriptive quantitative. The location is taken by research in the library and archival agency which is in the province of East Java, Surabaya. Population taken that students who use the deposit collection and measuring a sample of 30. The study showed that all students agree to use the collection of deposits to meet their needs.
