Abstract

Babies by cesarean section action are not a hindrance for rooming. The problem of this research was, from the 700-900 births in Room Shofa 2A RSU Haji Surabaya in year 2008-2009, in average, there were 200-300 deliveries performed by conducting cesarean section and almost 100% of infants did not get exclusive breastfeeding. This study use explanatory description method using cross sectional design. The population used was the mothers of post-cesarean. The sample selection was conducted by using total sampling. The sample used was 24 respondents. The instruments used were the quetionare. The results of this study were from 24 respondents, mostly, 22 (92%) had good knowledge and positive attitudes on exclusive breastfeeding and 2 (8%) had sufficient knowledge and negative attitude on giving exclusive breastfeeding in infants.
