Abstract

The number of premarital teenage pregnancy in the Baru vilage in 2009 are 14 people, the year 2010 are 16 people, and in 2011 until September reached 15 people. One cause of the occurrence of premarital teenage pregnancy is the lack of knowledge of adolescent reproductive health. This study uses survey methods of analytic case-control study. The sample group of cases that all adolescents who experience premarital pregnancy in 2009, 2010, until September 2011 as many as 45 people. Samples of the control group throughout the teenage girls who had never been pregnant before marriage as much as 90 orang.Instrumen research using data collection sheets in the form of questionnaires and book reports KIA. Analysis of data using chi square tests and Contingency Coefficient. From the study found the majority of cases the group of respondents (40%) have less knowledge. In the control group (51.1%) of respondents have good knowledge. The results obtained Chi Square test statistic p value (0.004), meaning there is a significant association between the level of knowledge of reproductive teenage girls with adolescent premarital pregnancies in the New Village. The power relations between the two variables are known through the C (0.278). Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a relation between the level of reproductive health knowledge of young women with adolescent premarital pregnancies in the Baru village. Advice to health workers to always improve the quality of care, especially in the field of adolescent reproductive health.
