Abstract

Preecalmapsia is a major cause of maternal and fetal mortality and morbidity in the world. Preeclampsia is set of symntoms that occur during pregnancy, labor, and chilbed that consist of trias : hypertension, protenuria, with or without oedema. Predisposition factor of preeclampsia are internal factor and eksternal factor. The Problem of this study is the increasing number of preeclamsia incident in Dr. M. Soewandhie Hospital, from 9,84% become 12,20%. The objective of this study is to find out the influence of mother characterization factors toward incident of preeclampsia in maternal. The design of this study is using case control study. The data were collected from Dr. M. Soewandhie Hospital during April 2011 until March 2012. The respondent of this study is preeclampsia cases in maternal and the control is women with normal labor. Total number of cases is 248 and the number of control group is also 248. The Data analysis is used to count odds ratio by using logistic regression analysis. The result of this the study showed that from four variable (age, education, ANC, and ethnic), only age that become risk factor of preeclampsia (p= 0,000; α= 0,05; OR= 3,43, CI 95% 2,26-5,20). The conclusion of this studi show that age is a risk factor with OR 3,43.
