Abstract

The widely spread of transmitted disease nowdays is not only infect the adult people, but also spread to the teenagers.. The lack of knowledge about the health of teenagers‟ reproduction is concidered as the source of that problem. The goal of the research was to find out the influence of pocket book as the education media of health reproduction of teenagers‟ reproduction in increasing the knowledge of female students concering sexually-tansmitted diseases prevention. The rasearch method used was pre-experimental static-group comparison design. The population were the female students o SMA Negeri 1 Kandat, Kediri by the month of June 2012. The samples were gathered randomly based of inclution criteria, 72 female students were selected and were divided into two groups. The experimental group and the control group. The experimental group was given health education on teenager‟s reproduction through pocket book media, while the control group did not have the treatment. The data obeservation was collected from pre-test and post-test quetionnaires and analyzed by using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney Test with significance of α=0,05 The research findings revealed that by using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test on the experimental group was p<0,0001 while on the control group was p=0,023. The result finding showed that the method applied on the experimental group showed the the influence on the increasing knowledge was better than control group.On the Mann Whitney Test was p<0,0001. The result showed that there was a difference of knowledge on the experimental group and the control group after being given the treatments. It can be concluded that the health education of teengers‟ reproduction has influence on the female students increase of knowledge on preventing sexually transmitted diseases.
