Abstract

Families are aware of nutrition (kadarzi) can be realized through efforts to empower families by improving nutrition knowledge, change attitudes and behaviors that are less family support and foster family self-sufficiency to address the nutritional problems that exist in the family. Lack of knowledge, attitudes and practises of people, especially mothers of households to nutrition and health is one of the most influential factor in the achievement of program kadarzi. The purpose of this research was to study the correlate between knowledge, attitude, and practise of kadarzi mothers with nutritional status of children aged 0-3 years. Design of this research was cross sectional study. The population are all of children aged 0-3 years at the working area of Kaliwates Puskesmas. Samples are 76 children who included in criteria from 26 posyandu with proportional sampling. Tha data collected with interview, questionnaires, and observation, then analyzed with spearmen’s test and significan level at < 0,05. The result showed there was correlation between mother’s knowledge of kadarzi with nutrition status with significan level p=0,000 and coefficient correlation 0,423, correlation between mother’s attitude of kadarzi with nutrition status with significan level p=0,042 and coefficient correlation 0,234, and correlation between mother’s practise of kadarzi with nutrition status with significan level p=0,000 and coefficient correlation 0,656. It can be concluded, there are correlation between mother’s knowledge, attitude, and practice of kadarzi with nutrition status of children aged 0-3 years at the working area of Puskesmas Kaliwates Kabupaten Jember.
