Abstract

Predentcare Programe is considering one way to offer some information and knowledge about how to improve the degree of human health, especially dental and oral. Some of the disease or dental abnormalitycould cause several oral malfunction, such as teeth disorder or usualy called maloclution. As the most important part in socialityation of general healt, posyandu officers have a great prospect as a frontliner of dental health. Because of their emotionally attachment with the sociaty give them more value as a health educator, because most of the society still do not understand about how to take care of their dental health. The purpose of this study was to determine changes in knowledge and interest in orthodontic treatment for children age 6-10 years after Predentcare Programme. This research method is to form posyandu cadres, and cadres from providing information to the public. There is increased knowledge and interest in orthodontic treatment in the community by providing dental health education. Level of consciousness to make orthodontic treatment is still low, at 22.72%
