Abstract

Bone graft has an important role to augmentation alveolar ridge height. Bovine bone is one of the alternative bone grafting material that widely used in dentistry. There are two type of bovine bone, Demineralized and Deproteinized. Deproteinized bovine bone has a high osteoconductive and similar structure to cancellous bone. Blood plays an important role in the process of bone formation with bone grafting. Purpose. To measure the velocity of deproteinized bovine bone 355-710 μm adsorption to blood (type O). Material and Method. fourteen samples of deproteinized bovine bone 355-710 μm were inserted in the blood (type O). Result. The highest velocity of deproteinized bovine bone 355-710 μm adsorption to blood (type O) is 12,14 mm/s. Conclusions. The highest velocity of deproteinized bovine bone 355-710 μm adsorption to blood (type O) is 12,14 mm/s.
