Abstract

High noble alloy has been replaced by base metal al10y because pi the endurance to corrosion and more reachable material cost. Material base I11cl:li alloy which is mostly used chromium. Unfortunately, chromiulll has high t()lth The dust of chromium that is inhaled can cause the ruin of the liver. kidney, ILlI1~2. and even cancer. Dental technician as person who do contact with the material directly has high occupational risk to get the chromium exposure. The usage ut selfprotection tool and the knowledge about the impact that will happen, ill !:CI(' influence the chromium exposure that is accepted by the body. Purpose. The all11 of the research is analyzing the correlation between dental technician's knowledge about self protection tool while working with the levels of chromium exposure III the blood. Method. First, whole blood of dental technicians have been taken ah(lut 3milliliter and then it has been examined the levels of chromium exposure h spectrophotometer examination. Second, dental technicians have been asked to fi Ii the questionnaire. Third, the researcher has been observed dental techniCians directly. Conclusion. From this research is gotten the result that there IS no significant correlation between dental technician's knowledge with the Inel" of chromi urn exposure.
