Abstract

Odontogram is a notes about anything found by the dentist inside the oral cavity including any action or treatment upon it. Odontogram is a vital thing for identification process, as it is used as a antemortem data. Any incompleteness of the data in antemortem data will cause distubance during the identification process. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to know the percentage of completeness of antemortem data based on postmortem data on Garuda Indonesia GA 200 plane crash in Jogjakarta in 2007 and the sinking of immigrant ship from Middle East in Trenggalek ocean in 2011. Methods: Samples are antemortem and postmortem odontograms used as an identification item in Garuda Indonesia GA 200 plane crash in Jogjakarta in 2007 and the sinking of immigrant ship from Middle East in 2011. Samples are compared and calculated to know the percentages of completeness of the data on each samples. Results: The results show there are differences of percentages of completeness of the data on each samples. Conclusion: The differences of percentages of completeness of the data on Garuda Indonesia GA 200 plane crash in Jogjakarta in 2007 and the sinking of immigrant ship from Middle East in 2011 caused by many factors such as different manner in visiting dentist, the location of accident and relationship between the embassy and forensic team on location.
