Abstract
Background : Wound is a damage to the unity of the tissue structure. the integration of vascular responses, cellular activity and the formation of chemical as a substance of mediators in wound area is inter-related components in the process of wound healing. Cronic Inflammatory is the prolonged process and was associated with tissue injury. The role of IFN-γ was set up largerly in biological process of macrophage activating cytokine. Nowdays, herbal therapy is oftenly used in health for the purposes of preventive, curative, and rehabilitative. The herb used in this study is Vitis vinifera. Vitis vinifera contains several active contituents, the most important is a resveratrol. Purpose: the aim of the study is to find out the role of vitis vinifera extract on accelerating the healing of the wound on the increased expression of IFN-γ the concentration 3.125% and 6.25%. Methods : The study was conducted in 21 Ratus norvegicus divided into 3 groups of samples with back wound incision and induction H2O2 10% to make chronic inflammation. 1st are control group by administering saline steril, as well as the 2 treatment groups with applications vitis vinifera extract at concentration of 3.125% and 6.25% were directly applied topically on 1st day after incision made. Termination was done 24 hours after treatment. Samples were tested by immunohistochemistry test. Results : The result showed that concentration 3.125% has better result than others. Conclusion : The conclusion of this study is vitis vinifera at a concentration 3.125% and 6.25% can accelerate chronic inflammatory healing process through the increased IFN-γ expression
