Abstract

Background. Based on studies by Patsakas year 1990 states that the frequency of sightings increased nutrient canal in hypertensive patients, especially in men and its prevalence increases with age. Radiographic image of the carnal nutrients often seen in the mandible, running vertically from the inferior dental canal to go directly to the apical or posterior teeth between mandibular incisor teeth. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is any difference in radiographic images invisibility of the canal nutrient anterior mandibular regional in patients with hypertension and non-hypertensive with periapical radiographic examination. Result. Based on the research that has been done to show there are significant differences in the appearance of the canal nutrient in patients with hypertension and non hypertension. The appearance of the canal nutrient in patients with hypertension is higher that is equal to 2:07 compared with non-hypertensive patients amounted to 0.8.
