Abstract
Kasus kehilangan gigi karena pencabutan merupakan kasus yang banyak dijumpai di bidang kedokteran gigi. Pada gigi yang telah dicabut, volume tulang alveolar akan berkurang dan terjadi perubahan morfologi. Pemakaian bone graft digunakan untuk mestimulasi pembentukan tulang, mengisi rongga, dan meningkatkan perbaikan biologis defek tulang. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan β-Tricalcium Phosphate sebagai salah satu alternatif bone graft. β-Tricalcium Phosphate merupakan salah satu bahan graft alloplast jenis keramik yang memiliki sifat biokompatibel, biodegradasi, bioaktif, tidak toksik, dan tidak menyebabkan kanker. Kemampuan osteokonduktif yang dimiliki β-Tricalcium Phosphate akan merangsang pertumbuhan osteoblas sehingga mempercepat pembentukan sel-sel tulang. Tujuan. Untuk mengetahui kecepatan adsorbsi β-Tricalcium Phosphate ukuran 355–710 μm terhadap darah golongan O dan AB untuk preservasi soket setelah pencabutan gigi. Metode. 28 sampel β-Tricalcium Phosphate ukuran 355–710 μm dibagi ke dalam dua kelompok perlakuan, 14 sampel untuk perlakuan terhadap darah golongan O dan 14 sampel untuk perlakuan terhadap darah golongan AB. Hasil. Kecepatan adsorbsi β-Tricalcium Phosphate ukuran 355-710 μm terhadap darah golongan O sebesar 0,000537 ml/detik dan terhadap darah golongan AB 0,000364 ml/detik. Kesimpulan. Tidak ada perbedaan bermakna antara kecepatan adsorbsi β-Tricalcium Phosphate ukuran 355-710 μm terhadap darah golongan O dan AB.
