Abstract

Background. Malocclusion has been defined as a deviation from normal occlusion. Crossbites of dental origin are due to displacement of teeth. Crossbites is one of the important numerical anomalies of teeth. The most common etiologic factor for nonskeletal anterior crossbites is lack of space for the treatment plan on management of the total space situation, not just the crossbite. Purpose. The aim of this study is to asses the prevalence of the anterior crossbite at RSGM FKG Unair from 2007 to 2010. Methods. Patient’s status cards from 2007 until 2010 are examined to find the prevalence of maloclussion class I with anterior crossbite, which is then recorded in percentage. Results.
