Abstract

Oral hygiene behavior is an action to maintain oral health. Workers in Faculty of Dentistry, especially their administrative resources are people, who do not possess the knowledge as dental practitioners have the highest risk among them. But, they are expected to have better oral hygiene status than general society. Purpose: The aim of this study is to find out Faculty of Dentistry administrative resources’ oral hygiene status. Method: The samples were drawn by randomized finite population by Lemeshow. Then samples are analyzed using cross-type tabulation, Pearson Chi-Square test and Contingency Coefficient. Result: It is found that average score of respondents oral hygiene status are 2,08 with 0,07 standard deviation. From thirteen risk factors, there are two of which whose had linkage to respondent’s oral hygiene status. Those factors are longevity of respondent service in Faculty of Dentistry and their tooth alignment. Familiarity is the linkage between longer terms of respondent service and easiness access to oral healthcare. Meanwhile tooth alignment holds the same role as in general population. Conclusion: Faculty of Dentistry administrative resources’ oral hygiene status in Airlangga University similar to general population in Indonesia.
