Abstract
Jinten hitam mengandung asam askorbat yang dapat menginisiasi terbentuknya hidroksilasi prolin sehingga struktur kolagen menjadi lebih stabil. Jinten hitam juga mengandung alpha-spinasterol, hederagenin, asam linoeat, asam oleat dan stigmasterol yang menghambat eukosanoid (PGE2 dan leukotrin B4) sehingga mempunyai efek anti inflamasi. Oleh karena itu, jinten hitam berperan dalam proses penyembuhan gingiva
