Abstract

Background. Endodontic therapy needs radiographic examination as it’s supporting examination. Periapical lesions often f ound in radiographic exa mination. Successful endodontic therapy may shown that periapical le sions became smaller or even disappear. Purpose. The purpose of this study was to investi gate the difference of periapical lesions diameter in radiographic examination after endodontic therapy was done. Method. The study was done by calling over patients of RSGMP FKG UNAIR with diagnose of pulp nekrose with periapical lesi ons who has completed his e ndodontic therap y for about 3-24 months, then paralleling radiographic evaluation carried out on the tooth with endodontic therapy. The results of radiographi c evaluation were compared with the results of radiographic evaluati on before endodontic therapy carried out. The lession’s diameter was measured with millimeter blo ck paper that copied to transparent plastic sheet. Results. The result of this study showed that there were significant difference diameter in radiographic evaluation. Conclusion. The conclusion of this research was periapical lesions became smaller or di sappear about 3 months after endodontic theraphy.
