Abstract
The aim of this study is to identify the variety of ectoparasites on swifflet (Collocalia fuciphaga) at Prancak village of Sepulu district of Bangkalan regency and Bunderan village of Sidayu district of Gresik regency. The ectoparasites were identified by using the identification key for ticks, mites, and lice. Observation object is the nest and fallen furs of swifflet. Ectoparasites were examined by microscopical permanent mounting slide. The result showed that in Bangkalan and Gresik swifflet houses were infestated by ectoparasites. Briefly, in Bangkalan and Gresik houses were found 42 and 130 Argils, respectively. Moreover in Gresik house also found four Dermanyssus in the nest, four Menopon and six Menacanthus in the fallen furs, respectively.
