Abstract

Culex fatigans is the most important pest in human. The use of synthetic chemical insectiside is the main method of tick control, however, chemical insectiside are expensive, and they are harmful to environment. The aim of study was to investigate the affectivity of lor="#FF0000">Annona lor="#FF0000">squamosa L. seeds extracted by organic solvent ethanol against mortality of Culex fatigans. Six hundred and fourty mosquito were used in this study and divided into eight groups e.g. control; 0,8%; 1,67%; 3,38%; 6,75%; 12,5%; 25%; 50%. Their mortality was observed from one to thirty minutes. LD 50 value was analyzed by anti log {Log a + (b x Log c)}. This study showed that the active compound of lor="#FF0000">Annona lor="#FF0000">squamosa L seeds had effectively contact toxic property for Culex fatigans (L) at 35.16 %.
