Abstract

This research was aimed to identify the influence of monosodium glutamate on female mouse (Mus musculus) feed to palatabilitas, abdominal lipid, and weight gain. There were 24 mice weighed 20 grams and divided into 4 groups and six replicates. P0 was a control given a usual feed. PI, P2, and P3 were given feed supplemented by 2 mg/g bw, 4 mg/g bw, and 6 mg/g bw of monosodium glutamate. The design was factorial completely randomized design. The obtained data were analyzed by SPSS rel 10.00 for windows using Univariate Analysis of Variance. The result showed that there were influences of monosodium glutamate on female mouse (Mus musculus) to palatabilitas, abdominal lipid, and weight gain elevation.
