Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the value of digestibility and fat efficiency from some kind of pellets to the cats. The material that used in this research were 18 of male cats, with aged on 3-6 months, and weighing on 1.5-2 kg. Rations used in this research is that a commercial diets C0, C1 and C2 which is formula feed pellets on different composition. The cages that used in this research is a cage that made from steel wire with a size of 40x40x60 cm3 and in door type. This research is using an experimental design that called Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 3 treatments and 6 replications. The treatment were C0, C1, C2. The target observed are the value of digestibility and fat efficiency from some kind of pellets to the cats. The average value on percentage are C0, C1, C2 for crude fat digestibility respecticly 44.4790% ± 2.40962, 78.6714% ± 2.77167, 71.6744% ± 2.86031 and fat efficiency respecticly 35.0451%± 2.8217, 38 287% ± 3.3094, 79.8969% ± 2.1955. The result of this research showed that three types cat feed pellets have an effect to digestibility values crude fat and fat efficiency. Thus all of the ratios have difference digestibility values, C2 has the highest digestibility value and C2 has the highest fat efficiency.
