Abstract

This research was done from March until April 2014 at the Unit Pelayanan Teknis Pemeliharaan Ternak dan Hijauan Makanan Ternak Singosari Malang and Laboratory of Veterinary Public Health Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Universitas Airlangga. This study aimed to determine increment of Total bacterial count of Peranakan Etawa Goat Milk in Some Lactation Period (first, second, and third lactation period). This study used 3 groups and each group consists of 5 goats. The goats were in first, second, and third lactation period with 5 times replicated. The research design used was completely randomized design and data obtained were analyzed using Anova. The results showed that on 3 lactation period did not affect significantly difference (p>0.05) on the total bacterial count. The average value of the total bacterial count in first lactation was 1.0 x 104 CFU/ml, second lactation was 1.0 x 104 CFU/ml, and the third lactation was 1.2 x 104 CFU/ml. In all of lactation periods (first, second, and third lactation period) showed total bacterial count is still in the range of SNI 7388 – 2009.
