Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out the changes of bone density and the possibility of osteoporosis based on alkaline phospatase level in ovariohysterectomized cats. Twenty cats at the age of 5-8 years used in this study consisted ten cats that have been ovariohysterectomized for at least six months and ten intact cats. All cats were have to be in good condition and did not have drugs records that could affecting bone health. Statistical analysis of paired t-test was used to compare the levels of alkaline phospatase between the two groups of samples with a confidence level of 95%. The result did not show significant differences of alkaline phospatase levels comparation between ovariohysterectomized cats and intact cats (p>0.05)
